Tests Included: Syphillis, Hepatitis C, HIV Ag/Ab Combo, HSV 1, HSV 2, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea Test Information: Syphillis: Syphillis is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STD's). It is a bacterial infection that can spread through oral, vaginal, or anal sexual contact. Symptoms include sores on the genitals, mouth or anus, red rashes on hands and feet, fever, headache, sore throat, swollen glands, fatigue, weight loss, and hair loss. Hepatitis C: Hepatitis C is a viral infection that causes liver inflammation, sometimes leading to serious liver damage. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) spreads through contaminated blood. HIV Ag/Ab Combo: This test looks for HIV antibodies and antigens in the blood. An antigen is part of a virus that triggers an immune response. If there has been exposure to HIV, antigens will be present before HIV antibodies are created. This test can usually detect HIV infection within 2-6 weeks. Herpes Simplex Virus 1 (HSV1): Herpes is a skin infection which causes painful blisters or sores on different parts of the body. HSV1 usually causes blisters or cold sores around the mouth (oral herpes). Herpes Simplex Virus 2 (HSV2): Herpes is a skin infection which causes painful blisters or sores on different parts of the body. HSV2 usually causes blisters or sores in the genital area (genital herpes). Chlamydia: Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). It is a bacterial infection spread through vaginal, oral, or anal sex with someone who has the infection. Gonorrhea: Gonorrhea is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). It is a bacterial infection spread through vaginal, oral, or anal sex with an infected person. It can also be spread from a pregnant woman to her baby during childbirth. Gonorrhea can infect both men and women. It is most common in young people, aged 15–24.
